Dealing with my child is not easy at times

My child has some form of selective mutism and this can be very challanging at times. She is very she and reserved. She will not speak a word at school or any other public setting. This is irritating at times. She has been talking since she was 9 months old and in full paragraphs. She is a very bright child and has always used a very large expanded vocabulary.

In Kindergarten

Her teacher calls and pressures me to make videos for her so she can see he talk but my daughter does not feel comfortable. She was in tears the other night when I tried to make her do the video. The school has not tested her for an IEP or done anything for my child. they believ ethat she is just being stubborn. I am getting so angry with them. My daugter goes to a child counselor witch has diagnosed her with this and says if you push her she will get worse. This has happened recently. Still, the school insist that I have the time to make videos and do all these things when I am in school full time. This frustrates me to no end.

Just like any other child

Looking at her she looks just the same as any other child, you would never know anything was different. Only if you tried speaking to hear would you notice and then you might just think she is shy.

They keep pressuring her and calling me up to three times a week and constant letters home. The harrassement must stop. It will stop here. Or I will take it further, I am prepared an dwilling to fight for her right for a fair an dequal education and at this point she is not recieving either...
